Colligors is an interactive database that allows you to quickly and efficiently catalog your Matchbox collection and build your own catalog. You don’t have to bother typing in every detail or taking photos of each model—we’ve already done that for you. Simply click and add the model from the central database into your own collection.
If you’d like to upload your own photos—such as to show the packaging or highlight your model’s condition—you can attach up to five pictures per Matchbox. You can also add personal notes, record the purchase date, price, current value, and condition.
Every collector has models they’re still hunting for—as well as duplicates or extras they don’t need. In the Colligors central catalog, you can mark the models you’re looking for, and if another collector has them as duplicates, Colligors will connect you.
Colligors is not an online shop or auction house. We don’t take part in trades or sales, nor do we assume any responsibility for them. The exchange or sale is entirely up to you.
If you have surplus models, you can mark them in the central database, add them to your personal catalog, and then use the “Mark as For Sale” function. If another collector is looking for exactly that model, Colligors will immediately notify them and connect you via your profile’s contact details.
As with “Wanted,” Colligors does not participate in trades or sales—you’re fully responsible for handling them. Remember to remove the “For Sale” mark if the model is no longer available.
Yes. Since the central Colligors database currently only contains Matchbox models, you’ll need to manually fill in the details for other brands and optionally upload up to five photos. Use the “Add Non-Matchbox model” function.
We offer nearly 3,000 brand names to choose from, ensuring consistent cataloging. If your manufacturer isn’t listed, email us at missing@colligors.com, and we’ll add it quickly.
Only you can see your own catalog. Colligors isn’t a public showcase—it’s for managing your collection.
However, you can share your catalog with friends using the “Share my catalog” function, or share individual models with “Share my model.” Shares must be accepted by the recipient, and they can’t edit your catalog. You can revoke sharing at any time.
First, let us know—we’d love to see it! (missing@colligors.com)
To add it to your catalog, use the “Add missing Matchbox” function. If it’s a variant of an existing model, you can pull in the known data using the Colligors code and simply update the differences.
Please note: Colligors includes Code-1, Code-2, Code-3, and Preproduction models. Custom Code-4 and Factory Error models must be added by you.
It’s a unique identifier automatically assigned to each model in the database. The Colligors Code makes it easy to reference a specific Matchbox variant in trades or sales.
We’ve invested a huge amount of work into building this database. Colligors offers the most complete Matchbox collection with the highest quality graphics, and we carefully filter out counterfeit models.
We’ve taken over 1 million photos of Matchbox models, and the software is fully custom-built. We continuously upload new releases, ensuring the database stays current. To keep this service running long-term, we rely on subscriptions.
In return, you won’t see annoying ads—just a few relevant shop or event promotions. And the monthly fee is no more than the price of a high-quality new Matchbox model.
We already have the photos, but cleaning and uploading the data takes time. We’re working continuously, and within a few months the Matchbox catalog will be complete.
Upcoming uploads: London Buses, then Ford models, followed by the "Convoy" series, "Super Kings", and finally the "Regular Wheels". New releases will, of course, be uploaded as quickly as possible.
No. Adding the missing categories will not increase your subscription fee.
The word Colligors comes from the Latin verb colligere, meaning to gather, collect, or bring together. In classical texts, colligere was used in different contexts—Caesar spoke of colligere copias (“to gather troops”), Cicero used it in the sense of drawing conclusions, and Seneca referred to colligere animum (“to collect one’s spirit”).
By extension, Colligors can be understood as the gatherer or the collector. This perfectly reflects the purpose of the platform: bringing together your collection, organizing it into a personal catalog, and uniting it with a wider database of fellow collectors.
In short, the name embodies the spirit of collecting—systematic, passionate, and timeless.
