I came up with the idea for Colligors because I saw how much my fellow collectors and I struggled with cataloging our Matchbox and other collections. I myself tried at least five different ways to organize my thousands of models, but every attempt ended in failure. Sometimes technology got in the way, sometimes my own lack of motivation stopped me from keeping the catalog updated. With Colligors, I was finally able to build my own catalog quickly, efficiently, and with minimal effort—all while exploring and discovering new models in the database.
After 35 years of collecting, I finally know what’s in my collection, how much it’s worth, which models I have duplicates of, and which ones I’m still looking for. Best of all, I can now share it with my friends and even with my favorite dealer, who can always stay up to date on what models might surprise me at the next toy fair.
I travel a lot, and I love visiting model shops around the world, but in the past it was difficult to find them online. With Colligors, we aim to gather toy car shops and fairs worldwide, making it easier for collectors to discover them wherever they go.
I truly hope that using Colligors brings you as much joy as creating and testing it has brought me.
Endre Márton László – Founder & Creator
I’ve been trading Matchbox cars for 15 years, during which I’ve met countless collectors and gained deep knowledge about these models.
With Colligors, I finally have the chance to share this expertise with you.
Many times I’ve seen collectors struggle to identify Matchbox variants clearly. Printed and online catalogs often contain contradictions, incomplete information, or inaccuracies—making them unreliable. I wanted to create a database that collectors can truly depend on: one that makes it easy to identify Matchbox variations, showcases rare models, and provides a far more complete resource than anything before.
My goal is simple: to help collectors enjoy this wonderful hobby even more.
